PolyStab 18 Liquid for Pavement Stabilisation

Premature failure through cracking of cement treated base, (CTB), used in road construction has limited its use to specific applications; whereas if cracking can be reduced or eliminated, their use could be extended to a much wider range of applications.

Based on the proven benefits of polymers used in structural concrete, ART  have developed “PolyStab 18 Liquid”, to be used in combination with traditional cementitious stabilising products for road construction.

Applications:

• Rehabilitation and strengthening of existing granular pavements.
• Recycling of existing cement stabilised pavements, which are exhibiting extensive shrinkage cracking.
• Construction of pavements and/or working platforms in limited or constrained construction times.
• In areas susceptible to high rainfall or inundation.
• Over soft ground conditions where stiff bridging layers are required.
• Where temporary trafficking of the pavement may be required during different stages of construction.
• When preferred maximising of use of local materials and for making marginal pavement gravels suitable for purpose.
• Modification or improvement of non-organic subgrade conditions.
